I am talking

I am talking in Wandsworth prison in London. I am a psychologist and rational thinker and I help people to survive. To survive in prison you have to avoid fights. To survive in prison just do your time the best you can possibly is allowed. To survive in prison don’t try to escape. If you know you are innocent then you can try to escape from within teaching. I am giving to you my advice. Always bear in mind when you are in prison what has been done can be undone. What has been decided can be changed. In prison everyone has to be safe. If nobody hurts others everyone is safe. Why to live badly when we can live great? Prisons are overcrowded, that’s the main or most important problem. A cell should be only for one person, criminals have demonstrated they can not live in society. Society is two or more people. Criminals are locked because they are dangerous and hurt others. Criminals are safe from society in prison and society is safe from criminals. Criminals are separated from society. The unwanted are separated from society to protect society. Prisons are dangerous and they are not a nice place to live in. It’s about living for a while out of the circle to get more information and learn. An exercise to improve your life is to read Spinoza. Do you understand Spinoza? Do you understand Spinoza’s God. I was wrong and now I am right. Prison is to get out of the circle to get more information or knowledge to change. Prison it’s about learning. ¿Can you learn languages in prison? English is very important, I am spanish and I talk italian and some russian. The russian unfortunately is for the most part gone. I still remember a few words, a few sentences, but I can’t maintain a conversation about whatever in russian. In Spanish, English and Italian I can maintain a conversation about whatever. Why don’t you learn languages with other inmates? The teacher is the student and the student is the teacher. I teach you my language and you teach me your language at the same time. We learn exchanging information. What a better place to learn languages than in prison, with all the time in the world? You have plenty of time to learn languages. You have plenty of time to learn philosophy. Who knows and who doesn’t? Learn from the people who know. Do you know how is going to be the future? How do you know? You can not know. You can not know the future, so what a better way to spend your time than to learn languages. You are a teacher because you know your language and you are the student because you don’t know other languages. In your cell you can learn with materials like books, even films. You go to your cell and you are treated well and as an exercise for your rehabilitation the governor of the prison ask you to learn languages so you benefit from being in prison. For the next month you will try to learn as much Spanish as you possibly can, or italian, or the language you like. Train your brain, ear, tongue and think day and night to learn the maximum in one month of a language. In one month, all day and night, giving everything, living to learn the maximum in one month. Constantly memorizing, constantly trying to think in the language you learn, constantly putting maximum attention to what is said. Natives speak fast, always, everywhere, natives speak too fast for someone trying to learn from zero. Try to identify the sounds properly if you don’t know a word of a language. It’s not easy to learn a language. For me the problem is people speak too fast. If I know a few words of russian I want to be talked in russian word by word, slowly, like tasting the sound that comes out of the mouth, relaxed. What did you say? Now I want you to talk like I was a foreigner trying to understand you and I am trying my best and you have to go slower, like pausing, like vision in my mind of the meaning of the word. I can understand in russian, but slowly, like you say the word and I acknowledge the word is understood, the phrase is repeated in one go and I acknowledge I understood. If I don’t understand fully we try to resolve the problem. I talk to be understood, I want to be talked to understand. I need to understand. Languages have many words, many expressions, many rules. Languages are interesting. Language is everything, language is knowledge, language is life. How many prisoners get out of prison knowing only one language? Why? In prison they can learn all the time. You are the teacher and the student in prison. Even if you have a life sentence on you and you are never going to be released free in society your teaching in prison can help others. You know? You have power, you are powerful and you are free in slavery. You are free in captivity. You do whatever you want to do in prison. You will ever do what you want in prison. You decide. If you don’t create problems life is easier. The equipment and facilities in prison are not free, someone is paying fortunes for you to be here. The security cost fortunes. Please don’t try to escape and make everyone’s life easier. It doesn’t matter if you are innocent or guilty, the only that matters is if society think you are innocent or guilty. If you are innocent and society think you are guilty you have to prove you are innocent. It’s like that. You have to prove to society you are innocent because otherwise if you escape you will be chased and if you are not caught a life on the run scared is not worth it. It’s better to do time and try to prove you are innocent from within. Male non fare paura non avere. What is the best for you? The best for you is to survive. What option is the best for survival? Prisons are to rehabilitate prisoners, to create a better society, to create a healthier society, to protect society. To fulfill the purpose of a prison prisoners have to be rehabilitated. To accomplish the mission in a prison prisoners have to be rehabilitated. You are a prisoner, you know the purpose of the institution you are in locked is to rehabilitate or change you. The purpose is to help you to change yourself. Do you like prison or do you like society? Prison is part of society. Prison is a separated part of society. Prison and society don’t mix. Society expell the unwanted to prison and the mission is to obtain a change of mind. Do prisoners regret what they did? If they don’t regret what they did why? Prisoners have to learn in prison. The most important is prisoners have to learn and obtain more information to take decisions with more knowledge. Thank you.
