You are only christian if you follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, or you say the word of Jesus is the word of God. Spinoza wanted to end atheism and religion with rational thinking. For Spinoza God is substance or what can not be conceived without existing or what is eternal. That something eternal exists. God is Time and Space. God created the universe after existing forever.
